What sparked your interest in your chosen career path?
I’ve been interested in science since I was a kid. I did science Olympiad for years in middle school and high school. AP biology really focused my passion in biology, and cancer has always been fascinating to me. My dad had his Ph.D., so he was an inspiration for me to continue on to graduate school.

Evernote. I use it to keep track of notes, recipes, lab, everything. I highly recommend it.
Three things people may not know about you.
- I can read more than 1,000 words per minute. I like to read as much as I can when I get a chance.
- I really love art. I paint, photograph and love working with digital media (Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, etc.). I actually have four paintings hanging in my apartment now that I made myself.
- I really love rock climbing. I hear a new rock climbing gym is opening nearby here so I’m really excited about that.
