Today, we meet Sharling and Arturo.
As an adult, Sharling decided that she wanted more in life. She wanted to earn her G.E.D.

She and her husband, Arturo, enrolled in the G.E.D. program at Latino Center of the Midlands, a United Way-funded program designed for Spanish-speaking adults who want to improve their education.
Through the program, they were able to study for the G.E.D. exams alongside a dedicated teacher and a committed group of students. Now, they’ve both earned their G.E.D.s and are preparing for the next steps in their future. Arturo began helping others to prepare for the G.E.D. exams and looks forward to a bright future of college and a career. Sharling is committed to continuing her education in the years to come and looks forward to teaching her newborn daughter that education is the key to success.
