The EVS worker who generates the most comments — or “votes” — gets a $50 gift card to Hy-Vee.
You can vote:
- For more than one EVS worker; but
- Only once for each EVS worker.
Both UNMC and Nebraska Medicine EVS workers are eligible.
The “polls” close at 8:30 a.m. Friday.
Tomas Vizcaya-Landaverde keeps things clean, and treats us all like his friends. Coming in and seeing him always gets the day off to a good start.
I'm voing for Connie Mills at MMI. She does a fantastic job here on the third floor. 🙂
Tomas Vizcaya-Landaverde is WONDERFUL!! He does an exceptional job throughout different areas in the Medical Sciences Bldg (MSB). He is very thorough and very kind. Always has a smile on his face and always asks you how your day is! He goes out of his way to help anyone. 🙂
YuYong Pak-Vlasak is a very valuable person in Wittson Hall. She is the person that is always going the extra mile to make things easier for us. YuYong demonstrates such great proud in her job. She is always very kind and friendly.
Debra Duke is the bee's knees, so I'd also like to vote for her.:)
I vote for Carmen Escolero. He is great, pleasant and does a great job both in offices and in the gross anatomy lab.
I would also like to vote for Leah Bailey. She adds that little dash of sunshine to my morning coffee ritual. 🙂
Lavinia Retana! COPH is so fortunate to have Lavinia Retana to take care of us in MCPH. Not only is her work exceptional, but her positive attitude and cheerful demeanor are a pleasure to encounter every day.
Terri Gustafson! Every day she has a smile on her face and greets our office with a "Good Morning"!! We are so grateful for her! Terri works two jobs AND takes care of her Grandson , Cameron, most evenings. She is a hard worker with an amazing, positive personality!!

Over in MMI, we love Debra Duke and Leah Bailey. Both are great ladies to be around!
I vote for Cathy Christiansen. She takes initiative in finding ways to make our library a clean and pleasant environment. We've all noticed. She does this with friendly nature.

Casting my vote for Connie Mills who always has a smile and hello. She keeps our very busy area clean and sparkly, and she's always very prompt with anything extra we may need. Even if I don't see her, I can see the evidence of her hard work every morning.
Joyce Pugh is our favorite EVS worker. She always goes above and beyond and has a smile on her face!
Lavinia Retana always has a smile on her face, is friendly, and does an excellent job in the MCPH building.
Debra Duke ALWAYS smiling and ALWAYS happy to see us and greet us! She also has quite the job dealing with us and never has a bad thing to say about anything. She is just so positive!
Olga Echevarria makes sure that the MCPH building has staff to clean the building on a daily basis. She makes sure our carpets are cleaned, our classroom chairs look new, and we have enough trash cans for all the hundreds of events that are held in the building.
Lavinia Retana has been cleaning the MCPH building since it was opened almost five years ago. She keeps this building looking like the day we moved in. This shows her dedication to her work and to the campus. She welcomes guests, employees, and students with a smile and a hello. Lavinia has even been seen outside the building picking up trash that has found its way to visit us.
Aderana Morris has been here a short time but she is not afraid to dig into the work with a smile. She is willing to help in any way she can; ready to roll up her sleeves and get started.
Leah Bailey is just so pleasant!
I vote for Nels in the Administration Center !!! He's wonderful to us and does an excellent jobs – Over and above what we ever expect.

Debra Duke is always here, rain or shine, long before the sun makes its appearance taking care of all those important tasks that everyone relies on and does it all with a smile on her face.
Tammi Howells! Most of the EVS employees do a great job of cleaning but Tammi adds another dimension to customer satisfaction. Of course she works hard and does all her duties beautifully, but Tammi has that chemistry with all of us here in Sorrell that makes it a joy to have her around!

Debra Duke is such a pleasure to see and say "hi!" to every morning. She cares about her people and takes pride in what she does at work and at home. We are blessed to work with Deb!
Our Linda Walter belongs up there at the top of the list. She even goes the extra mile to get the tabs off discarded pop cans to put in the collection for the Ronald McDonald house. She smiles and will do anything she can to make this place livable for us. We all benefit from the TLC she gives our floor (10th floor of Lied).

Martha Carter – CON – one example of her hard work is how she relentlessly cleans the revolving door glass and the 2nd floor brick corridor, even when water, mud, ice, salt, etc. is tracked through. Thank you for all you do Martha!
