Sept. 3 – SciFest at the Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island.

Sept. 14 – Launch of the “It’s on US” campaign on how to stop sexual assault/be part of solution. Information tables will be at the Sorrell Center and the Durham Research Center. There will be a student activity at the Sorrell Center.

Sept. 16 – Documentary on sexual assault and Title IX rights will be shown at the Durham Research Center Auditorium at 4 p.m. with a panel discussion to follow. The event is open to all employees and students.

Sept. 29 – Special dinner to celebrate School of Allied Health Professions becoming a college (by invitation only).

Oct. 1 – John S. Latta Lecture at noon featuring Luanne Thorndyke, M.D., a 1983 graduate of the UNMC College of Medicine. Dr. Thorndyke is vice provost for faculty affairs and professor of medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.

Oct. 2-3 – UNMC Alumni Reunion Weekend

Oct. 19-23 – Innovation Week (awards ceremony, Oct. 22 at 4 p.m., Durham Research Center Auditorium)

April 1 – Ronald Petersen, M.D., Ph.D., director of the Mayo Clinic Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center and the Mayo Clinic Study of Aging, will deliver the Denham Harman, M.D., Ph.D., Lectureship in Biomedical Gerontology, at noon in the Durham Research Center Auditorium.
