Estelle Chang, M.D.

Estelle Chang, M.D., is a new faculty member at UNMC. Here’s a brief rundown of her background and the expertise she brings to campus.

  • Name: Estelle Chang
  • Hometown: Seoul, South Korea
  • New title: Assistant professor, UNMC Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery

Research interests:
Thyroid cancer epidemiology, head and neck cancer outcome (survival and quality of life, analysis of predictive and prognostic factors associated with outcome), smoking cessation.

Professional interests:
Benign and malignant lesions of the thyroid gland, benign tumors of the parotid gland, endoscopic sinus surgery, septoplasty, benign and malignant skin lesions excision and facial reconstruction.

How I fell in love with otolaryngology:
An exciting branch of surgery with a variety of subspecialties. A great mix of medicine and surgery.
