Tell us a bit about what you do here at UNMC.
I’m the human resources administrative assistant, which is the majority of my job duties. The operations group, which I am a part of, covers not only personnel, but budget, maintenance, IT services, clinical financial services and clinical staff, so every day is different.
Being a trusted resource is one of UNMC’s brand values. Tell us of a time you witnessed a person or group act as a trusted resource at UNMC.
Over my years of service, I have relied on the expertise of College of Dentistry faculty to help in areas not necessarily related to dentistry and have found them to be a great resource and always willing to answer questions.
What is your favorite summer activity?
Enjoying summer music festivals, family reunions and pool time with the grandkids.
List three things people may not know about you.
- I’m the grandmother of four, which includes a set of twins.
- I’ve been a volunteer for the Lincoln FoodNet Organization for over 10 years.
- I enjoy gardening and canning.

It's a small crazy world when you can remember working with my Mother when she was up in UNMC-Omaha, I was just a kid! I still think that's pretty cool! ; ) Thanks for always helping me out when I have questions, understanding and caring!!! -Shana
