Emerging infectious diseases course open to campus

Ali S. Khan, M.D., M.P.H., dean of the UNMC College of Public Health

Ali S. Khan, M.D., M.P.H., dean of the UNMC College of Public Health, will be teaching a course this fall on emerging infectious diseases. The classes will be held on Fridays between 10 a.m. and noon in Room 2001 of the Maurer Center for Public Health. A total of 13 classes will be held, with the first class on Aug. 28 and the final class on Dec. 4. Click here for a complete list of the classes and guest speakers.

The classes will feature a wide variety of topics and will essentially be taught by knowledgeable guest lecturers. Although the classes are intended primarily for Master of Public Health students, Dr. Khan wants the greater UNMC community to also have access to these speakers and the information they will share.

Dr. Khan is inviting faculty, staff and students of UNMC to attend any of the lectures that would be of interest. If anyone would like the assigned readings or presentation slides for a lecture, contact Matthew Bosley, the teaching assistant for the course, at 402-559-4960.
