Durham Museum welcomes med center community

Employees of UNMC and The Nebraska Medical Center are invited to a “Participant’s Night” from 5 to 8 p.m. on July 27 at the Durham Museum, 801 S. 10th St., Omaha.

Attendees will enjoy complimentary food and fascinating exhibits while experiencing all the museum has to offer. Try your hand at pioneer activities in the Log Cabin and One-Room Schoolhouse, explore Omaha’s history through the museum’s permanent collections, climb aboard authentic train cars and relax with an old-fashioned sundae at the Soda Fountain.

Visitors also can experience The Durham’s latest traveling exhibition, Lost Egypt: Ancient Secrets, Modern Science. See a real human mummy and other artifacts, interpret ancient art and hieroglyphics and examine a re-creation of an ancient Egyptian tomb.

Please RSVP by July 24 to unmcevents@unmc.edu.

Admission is for immediate family only, including two adults and dependent children (under 21 years of age) from the same household. A UNMC/Nebraska Medicine identification badge must be presented for admittance.

Check out all the exciting activities and events going on at The Durham Museum and enjoy membership pricing in conjunction with UNMC’s partnership.
