Alisha O’Malley, M.D., a second-year resident physician in the UNMC Department of Family Medicine, has been named resident director for the Nebraska Academy of Family Physicians. According to its website, NAFP has more than 1,200 members and represents family physicians in Nebraska. NAFP is a constituent chapter of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), which has more than 115,900 members.
Justin Siebler, M.D., orthopaedic surgery, was named physician of the year by the local chapter of the Association of Perioperative Nurses.
