Dr. O’Malley named to Nebraska Academy of Family Physicians post
Alisha O’Malley, M.D., a second-year resident physician in the UNMC Department of Family Medicine, has been named resident director for the Nebraska Academy of Family Physicians (NAFP). According to its website, NAFP has more than 1,200 members and represents family physicians in Nebraska. NAFP is a constituent chapter of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), which has more than 115,900 members.
David Taylor selected for 2015 Excellence in Public Health Award
David Taylor, a current M.D./Ph.D. student, has been selected to receive a 2015 Excellence in Public Health Award from the U.S. Public Health Service Physician Professional Advisory Committee. College of Public Health Dean Ali S. Khan, M.D., M.P.H., will present the award to Taylor at noon on June 16 in the Maurer Center for Public Health third floor commons area.
