Julie Fedderson, M.D., internal medicine – general medicine, was one of the spotlight performers at the Medical Mess Club, a medical musical comedy held April 17 at the Joslyn Art Museum. The program, entitled “The Evolution of a Physician: A Doc Opera,” was sponsored by the Metro Omaha Medical Society (MOMS). Money raised at the event goes to local medical charities. The Medical Mess Club is a 17-year tradition of MOMS. The show was a comedy written and performed by Omaha area physicians. It depicted one physician’s journey from birth through medical school and residency and into practice amid the challenges of the ever-changing health care environment. Highlights included medical students learning about the intricacies of patient physical exams in “All You Need is Gloves” (to the tune of “All You Need is Love”) or keeping things sterile in the operating room to the tune of “U Can’t Touch This.”
