Join us today for the first Sustainability Expo from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on the ice rink at the Ruth and Bill Scott Student Plaza. We’ll have experts on hand to talk to you and answer your questions on:
- recycling;
- gardening and lawn care;
- water-wise gardening and olla pots;
- seed saving;
- composting and vermicomposting;
- technology and wellness, with free blood pressure readings;
- ancient grains and high protein/no-meat meal prep;
- community-supported agriculture signups with Tomāto Tomäto;
- commuter challenge; and
- free serviceberry trees and wildflower seed packets.
Spirit Day also will be there with food, prizes, yoga on the Ruth and Bill Scott Student Plaza lawn (or in the Center for Healthy Living gym in the event of rain) from noon to 1 p.m. and free, insulated, reusable shopping bags.
Bring your gently used eyeglasses to this event; we will collect and give to the ophthalmology department to give to patients at free monthly clinics.
Visit the LiveGreen website for a full description of exhibitors and a map to the location.
