Sponsored Programs Accounting is hosting a refresher course on Effort Certification at UNMC. The course will be held in the Eppley Auditorium (ESH 3310) from 2 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 23.
This course is open to anyone who would like to learn more about Effort Certification.
The course will cover:
- Why UNMC does Effort Certification?
- Who is required to certify effort?
- How UNMC does Effort Certification?
Effort Certification is a system for verifying effort charged to federally funded projects. Effort is the portion of time spent on any activity, expressed as a percentage of total institutional activities, for which an individual is compensated by the university.
Effort, which cannot exceed 100 percent, includes time spent on:
- All federally funded activity.
- Other externally funded activity.
- Other university activities such as teaching, administration and clinical practice.
