Beginning Monday, March 16, the south stairwell of the lobby connecting the Durham Outpatient Center (DOC) and green parking (Lot 2) will temporarily close.
The work is part of the Emile Street Skywalk construction that will connect the DOC and Lot 50, the parking structure on south side of Emile Street.
During the stairwell closure, anyone parking within Green Parking/Lot 2 will be asked to use the elevators. Additionally, stairwells within green parking/Lot 2 will remain open. Those employees traveling between the Durham Research Center buildings and DOC are asked to use the elevators or the other Lot 2 stairwells to access the Level B temporary walkway. The closure of the lobby stairwell is expected to last through April.
When the Emile Street Skywalk project is complete (at the end of 2015), it will provide a safe and enclosed route for visitors and staff to get to the DOC from Lot 50.
