UNMC Fall Fest will begin today with “Wake up with Treats” servings of cinnamon rolls, scones, hot chocolate and coffee from 7 to 8:30 a.m. at the Sorrell Center and 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the Durham Research Center. (The UNMC Bookstore will be selling items at the DRC.)
That’s just the beginning for UNMC’s annual celebration of the fall. Other events today will include:
- Fall Fest fun: From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., events will include:
- A costume contest at noon, with a chance to win two Nebraska vs. Minnesota football tickets and prizes from local businesses. Come dressed in your best costume — prizes will be awarded to the top three costumes. (Judging will be at the Ruth and Bill Scott Student Plaza ice rink.)
- Pumpkin decorating contest voting — come vote for your favorite. (Contest voting will be at the Ruth and Bill Scott Student Plaza ice rink.)
- A make-your-own caramel apple bar. (The bar will be at the Sorrell Center Alumni Commons, second floor.)
- The bookstore will be on hand to sell UNMC gear in the Sorrell Center Alumni Commons, second floor.
