Tell us a bit about what you do here at UNMC.
I have been the administrator of urology for the past 10 years. We’re a small division, which makes us a very close-knit group. I support Chad LaGrange, M.D., chief of urology, as well as 12 additional providers and a great residency program — and I work with a tremendous team of support staff and nurses. I’m extremely grateful to be a part of such a great group of people!
Being a trusted resource is one of UNMC’s brand values. Tell us of a time you witnessed a person or group act as a trusted resource at UNMC.
I can honestly say that my pride in this organization grows each year that passes. There are numerous examples I see every day of people going above and beyond to make this an extraordinary place to be for our staff and our patients. I work in close proximity to staff members who are the front door to our organization and I’m continuously impressed by their kindness and concern for our patients. I’ve also been impressed with College of Medicine Dean and Nebraska Medicine President Brad Brittigan, M.D., and Nebraska Medicine CEO Bill Dinsmoor for their leadership during our time of change this past year. Their accessibility and willingness to share information firsthand demonstrates the value they place on all employees of this great organization.
