Jean-Francois Pittet, M.D., vice chair and director of critical care medicine at the University of Alabama College of Medicine, will be speaking on “The Perioperative Surgical Home: A New Model of Healthcare Delivery for Surgical Patients” at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Sorrell Center, Room 1005.
Dr. Pittet holds the prestigious David H. Chestnut Professor of Anesthesiology chair as well. He has served as a reviewer for 25 professional journals, including The New England Journal of Medicine, Anesthesiology, and Critical Care Medicine.
He has served on the editorial board for two publications. He is currently an associate editor for “Anesthesiology,” and is editor-in-chief for “Anesthesia & Analgesia,” the two most respected anesthesiology journals.
