Tell us a bit about what you do here at UNMC.
I am the manager for UNMC Printing Services and have worked in this department for 24 years. I have seen many changes in the art of printing in my time here at UNMC. We have experienced tremendous growth and change with technology and what we do today is very different from the traditional print shop. We took a big leap this year and went completely digital!

“Leadership” is one of UNMC’s brand values. Tell us of a time you witnessed this commitment at UNMC.
As an employee, it’s easy to witness “Leadership” in the way we do business in promoting health care for Nebraskans. One thing I appreciate is the leadership team always keeps us informed about what is happening here at UNMC so we don’t hear things secondhand.

Last year a dear friend from California had lost all hope of receiving a liver transplant. It was here that the miracle happened for him. I was able to witness many acts of leadership and commitment from everyone he came in contact with. It was truly amazing to see the UNMC community as a whole step up and provide the type of care and support to his family. I was very proud to say I work here.

What is your favorite fall activity?
I love fall in the Midwest! Growing up in California, I never experienced the changes in seasons until I moved here. I love to go for a motorcycle ride in the country when the air is crisp and cool and the leaves are all turning those amazing fall colors.

List three things people may not know about you.

• I was a hairdresser for 10 years before I went back to school to pursue graphic arts.
• Rottweilers are my favorite dog. I have raised and loved five of them. I have a 3-year-old right now.
• I shamelessly spoil my five grandkids!
