Jayme Nekuda, Ph.D., a six-year veteran of UNMC’s human resources department and an 18-year UNMC employee, will become interim director of human resources effective Sept. 1.
Nekuda, a certified professional in human resources, is currently the divison director of benefits and work life programs at UNMC. She will replace Pam Bataillon, who is retiring.
“I’m honored to be chosen to lead a department of such dedicated and committed professionals, and I plan to draw on their expertise as I move into this new role,” Nekuda said. “I’m looking forward to the challenge of leading this department during this exciting time at UNMC.”
“Jayme has been a vital and creative force in the human resources department,” said Don Leuenberger, vice chancellor of business and finance. “She brings professionalism and experience, as well as a detailed knowledge of the department, to this important position.”
