The Greater Omaha Golf Championship has selected the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center as one of the beneficiaries of this year’s event.
UNMC and clinical enterprise golfers are invited to sign up for the two-day event, to be held Aug. 9 and 10 at the Dodge Riverside Golf Club, which is adjacent to Harrah’s Casino in Council Bluffs.
The $120 entry fee includes two 18-hole rounds of golf and lunch.
Details include:
- Six flights including championship and senior (55 and older).
- Payout: $11,000 based on full field.
- Practice round available ($20 greens fee, one week in advance of event).
- Flights determined by handicap.
- Maximum 144-player field.
- Will be an NGA point tournament model with a correct championship field.
- Championship flight 2.5 index and under (higher may declare).
- Open to all Golf Handicap Information Network (GHIN) members (golfers must have an established handicap), not restricted to Omaha-area golfers.

In addition to the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center, the event will benefit the Bellevue University golf teams and provide a $1,000 scholarship to an area high school golfer.
