Crane assembly may impact traffic on Dewey Avenue

The red areas in the above map mark the restricted portions of Dewey Avenue during construction.

An ongoing project to renovate the heating and cooling systems within Eppley Science Hall requires assembly of a crane that may impact traffic at the intersection of 42nd Street and Dewey Avenue.

The project involves lifting large, rooftop exhaust fans to the roof of Eppley Science Hall via crane.

Starting Sunday, July 27, crane operations along the south of Dewey Avenue will restrict lane usage. Flagmen will be onsite to direct vehicular traffic. Drivers and pedestrians are asked to exercise caution.

During crane set up and tear down, there may be intermittent periods when the Eppley Science Hall and Poynter Hall Drive is closed.

Throughout construction, two lanes of traffic on Dewey Avenue will be maintained. Work is expected to be completed by Tuesday, July 29, at which time normal traffic patterns will resume.
