Tell us a bit about what you do here at UNMC.
I am a compensation specialist in the department of HR Staffing & Compensation. I provide support to the campus in the areas of compensation and classification by conducting job evaluations, providing salary recommendations and assisting in the development of position descriptions. I also help with the compilation and analysis of salary data from multiple survey sources and provide guidance on a variety of compensation issues departments may have.
Being a trusted resource is one of UNMC’s brand values. Tell us of a time you witnessed a person or group act as a trusted resource at UNMC.
I witness this brand value on a daily basis across campus. In human resources, it is common to get a question or issue that requires research and collaboration with different areas on campus to come to the best resolution and answer. Different groups across campus are always willing to help so that we can best serve our UNMC customers.
What is your favorite spring activity?
Getting in the first few golf rounds of the season after the long winter. The weather is typically cooler than summer, and it is nice to be back outside golfing again.
List three things people may not know about you.
- I like to participate in outdoor activities. In the summer, I try to get in golf, biking and waterskiing. In the winter, I love to hit the slopes.
- I obtained my M.B.A. from UNO in December.
- I like to travel and have been fortunate to travel to numerous countries and continents.
Happy three years of service, Adam!
