The Durham Museum has invited UNMC students, faculty and staff, as well as members of UNMC Physicians and The Nebraska Medical Center, on a trolley tour to view and learn about several sites through this historical, unique area of Omaha.
The special River City History Tour aboard Ollie the Trolley features “On Tap: Omaha’s Brewing History,” a new tour that highlights Omaha’s rich brewing traditions.
The event will begin at The Infusion Brewery Company with a brief social. The trolley departs Infusion at 5:45 p.m. The tour will last approximately 90 minutes before returning to Infusion.
Omaha’s rich brewing traditions started in 1858 with Nebraska’s first brewer, Frederick Krug. Over time, the breweries that helped put Omaha on the map have come and gone, but that rich history and passion has remained.
Reservations must be made in advance and are limited to employees and students of UNMC and The Nebraska Medical Center only.
Registration: The tour costs $10 (cash only) and seating is limited. Contact UNMC Events to reserve your space.
When: 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, with the tour beginning at 5:45 pm. The tour leaves promptly at the scheduled time and will last about 90 minutes.
Where: The Infusion Brewing Company, 6115 Maple St. Please arrive no later than 5:30 p.m.
