Dustin West likes to get out on the golf course and hit a few once in a while.
When he can play a round of golf and also contribute to a great cause, that's an added bonus.
That's one reason why West, business partnership coordinator at Metro Credit Union, will be at the SHARING the Green golf event later this month at the Shoreline Golf Course in Carter Lake. Metro Credit Union is the major sponsor for the annual event.

Spots for individual participants, teams and hole sponsors are still available.
The SHARING the Green event supports UNMC's SHARING Clinics, various student-run clinics that provide high-quality, low-cost health care to the underserved population in Omaha. Serving more than 1,200 patients annually, the SHARING Clinics also offer educational opportunities for UNMC students across diverse health professions.
"It's so neat to see such a great cause, to give back to so many people," West said. "It's easy for us to want to be a part of it."
The best ball tournament includes nine holes with a cart, range balls, dinner and a chance for prizes.
West is pleased with the tournament's shift from August to April.
"It's been such a long winter," he said.
He isn't looking to win anything, though.
"My goal at a golf tournament is, don't embarrass myself," he said with a laugh.
The tournament begins at 3 p.m. on April 25 at the Shoreline Golf Course in Carter Lake. For a registration form, click here; for more information about registering, click here or call (402) 559-1063.
