Construction started Monday on Emile Street, between 41st and 40th streets. The excavation is part of the Lozier Center for Pharmacy Sciences & Education and Center for Drug Discovery construction project.
Grunwald Contractors will be digging up Emile Street and the sidewalks on both the north and south sides to excavate for new pipe. The work will be fenced off and will affect vehicle traffic.
UNMC faculty, staff and students who park in Lots 4, 36, 39, 21 and 20 will still be able to enter the parking lots either from 41st or 40th Streets.
The work should last approximately three months.
