For the upcoming summer semester, the University of Nebraska at Omaha will once again be offering classes, from May 19 to Aug. 15 on the UNMC campus.
Classes being offered include:
ENGL 2470-802: Native American Literature
- 5 to 7:50 p.m. Mondays
- Bennett Hall, Room 2020
Students in Native American Literature will be introduced to the literature of the oral tradition among the Native American peoples and to the written literature of post-contact and contemporary times. This course meets the UNO General Education requirements of Humanities/Fine Arts and/or US Diversity. To register requires ENGL 1160 (English Composition II) or permission of the instructor. (Three credits.)
HIST 1010-802: World Civilizations II
- 5 to 7:50 p.m. Wednesdays
- Bennett Hall, Room 2020
This course will examine selected societies since the beginning of the modern era. This course meets the UNO General Education requirements of Humanities/Fine Arts and/or Global Diversity. There are no prerequisites for this course. (Three credits.)
SOC 2100-802: Social Problems
- 5 to 7:50 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays
- This course will run from July 7 to Aug. 15.
- Bennett Hall, Room 2020
The course provides an analysis of social problems in American society. Attention will be given to the nature, consequences and solutions of selected social problems. This course satisfies a Social Sciences General Education Requirement at UNO. In order to register, a student must have previously completed three hours of social science. (Three credits.)
Full-time, regular employees can take advantage of the Employee Scholarship program, which allows employees to take up to 15 credit hours per academic year at any University of Nebraska campus.
