College of Nursing speaker to discuss health care reform impact

Eileen Sullivan-Marx, Ph.D.

Eileen Sullivan-Marx, Ph.D., will discuss “Leaping Forward in Health Care Reform: Transitions, Teams & Talent,” as the 24th Visiting Nurse Scholar on April 9.

Dr. Sullivan-Marx will discuss the current status of the Affordable Care Act as it relates to nursing, new models of care and partnerships post-health care reform, and new initiatives in health workforce education.

Dr. Sullivan-Marx, a registered nurse and the Dean & Erline Perkins McGriff Professor at the New York University College of Nursing in New York City, will speak at the UNMC College of Nursing’s Center for Nursing Science, 4101 Dewey Ave., Room 3030 in the third floor atrium.

The presentation also will be live-streamed to Lincoln (Room 307), Kearney (Room 152W), Scottsbluff (Room B132) and Norfolk (Room 156).

There will be a reception from 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. in Omaha. The welcome and lecture will run from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.
