Philip Clifford, Ph.D. |
Dr. Clifford, who is the co-author of the widely acclaimed career website myIDP (Individual Development Plan), will hold a workshop for graduate students and post-docs called “Will ‘what floats your boat’ be enough to steer your career? Individual Development Plans as tools for planning a career in science.”
“IDPs have become a very important career development tool,” said Pamela Carmines, Ph.D., assistant dean for graduate studies. “Our students need a good way to help gather relevant information to help develop a pathway to their career goals.”
Dr. Clifford’s presentation is expected to draw so many people that two rooms have been set up for the event: Eppley Science Hall Room 3010, where he will be speaking, and an overflow room at Durham Research Center Room 1005, where the presentation will be streamed live.
Dr. Clifford is the associate dean for research, College of Applied Health Sciences, University of Illinois at Chicago.
Lunch will be provided for the first 100 attendees. Click on this link to register.
The event is sponsored by UNMC Graduate Studies and the UNMC Office of Postdoctoral Education.
