Thomas Magnuson, M.D.

Thomas Magnuson, M.D., will speak on depression in older adults from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18. The event will be held in the EngAge Wellness multipurpose room at the Home Instead Center for Successful Aging at 38th Avenue and Leavenworth Street. UNMC’s Howard Gendelman, M.D., chair of pharmacology and experimental neuroscience, and Huangui Xiong, M.D., professor of pharmacology and experimental neuroscience, are co-editors of “Current Laboratory Methods in Neuroscience Research,” recently published by Springer Protocol Handbooks. The book is described on the publisher’s website as a “research manual for both students and seasoned researchers. It focuses on commonly-used techniques employed in neuroscience research, presented in a simple, step-by-step manner for laboratory use.”
