Nominations to recognize UNMC faculty for meritorious teaching, service or mentoring are being accepted until March 14.
The UNMC Faculty Senate invites nominations for seven awards in the following categories: Outstanding Teacher, Spirit of Community Service, Outstanding Faculty Mentor of Graduate Students and a new category — Faculty Mentor of Junior Faculty.
Persons holding faculty appointments at UNMC are eligible to be nominated for these awards. Students and faculty may submit nominations for the first three awards, but only junior faculty may nominate for the Outstanding Mentor of Junior Faculty Award.
Nomination forms and selection criteria are available on the Faculty Senate web page.
Forms also may be obtained from the Office of the Faculty Senate, 559-5132.
Nominations must be emailed no later than Friday, March 14, in pdf format to the Honorary Degrees & Awards Committee, c/o Office of the Faculty Senate.
The awards will be presented at the Annual Faculty Meeting on April 24.
