Teachers interested in science are invited to attend the first Nebraska Science Festival Teachers’ Night on Thursday, April 24 in Lincoln.
The free event, new to the 2014 Nebraska Science Festival, will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Nebraska Wesleyan University’s Smith-Curtis Administration Building, 5000 Saint Paul Ave.
A variety of exhibitors will share programming and/or promote their events and exhibits. Attendees — any elementary, high school and college teachers interested in science — also will have the opportunity to see short demonstrations from Jeffrey Vinokur, “The Dancing Scientist,” who combines science education with hip-hop music and dancing.
Be among the first 100 educators to register here and receive a free gift. The event includes a reception with hors d’oeuvres.
Organizations interested in being a 2014 Teachers’ Night exhibitor must register online by Feb. 14. Space is limited and exhibitor tables will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. The application form is available here.
This year’s Nebraska Science Festival — scheduled for April 24-27 — again features an array of science- and technology-related activities. Presented by UNMC, the festival is designed to make science accessible, interactive, relevant and fun for kids and adults alike.
