The UNMC Student Alliance for Global Health will partner with ingredient restaurant in Midtown Crossing and Buffalo Wild Wings at 76th and Dodge streets today to help fund medical service trips to Jamaica and Nicaragua.
From 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., a portion of the money spent on meals at ingredient will be donated to help fund the medical and pharmacy students going on a medical mission trip to Jamaica. In addition, patrons who mention they are affiliated with UNMC as students, staff or faculty will receive 10 percent off the meal. (Bring your ID card.)
Ingredient is located at 3201 Farnam St.
From 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., 10 percent of all sales (not including alcohol) to UNMC students, staff, faculty and their friends and families at Buffalo Wild Wings will be donated to the Nicaragua service trip. (Buffalo Wild Wings will repeat the fundraiser at the same times on Jan. 15, Feb. 12 and March 5, as well.) Mention your UNMC affiliation to ensure the donation.
The Student Alliance for Global Health promotes local awareness of cultural and linguistic health issues, provides more sensitive health services within Nebraska, educates and informs students from all UNMC graduate programs about global health issues, and promotes and facilitates placement of students on international rotations and exchanges.
