UNMC and The Nebraska Medical Center interpreters now have a virtual pager for after hours and on-call access.
The new pager is designed to help hospital staff access an interpreter regardless of who is on call.
The pager number for on-site interpreter assistance is 888-0646, and can be used from 4:40 p.m. to 8 a.m. Mondays through Fridays. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, the number is available 24 hours a day.
Staff is encouraged to continue to use the Cyra Com system for all over-the-phone assessments during on-call hours: Monday-Friday, 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., Saturday and Sunday, 4:30 p.m. to 8 a.m.
