In November, UNMC faculty development launched a new special interest group to discuss education, technology and collaboration (ETC).

This inclusive group is open to all levels of faculty and staff who are interested in integrating technology into teaching practice.

“It’s a forum for innovators and early adapters,” said Howard Liu, M.D., director of faculty development programs.

The group is led by Carrie Elzie, Ph.D., assistant professor in Genetics, Cell Biology & Anatomy, and Teresa Hartman, head of education at UNMC’s McGoogan Library of Medicine.

Members’ goals include sharing best practices for integrating technology in education and fostering collaboration to develop innovative projects and scholarship across campus.

The next meeting of the group will be Dec 5., from noon to 1 p.m. on the eighth floor of McGoogan Library in Wittson Hall.
