Editor’s Note: Each month, InterCOM will highlight a “Student of the Month” from the College of Medicine. Students will be featured for their participation in activities outside of medical school and for making a difference in the community. The goal is to recognize students for what they are doing and to encourage other students to get involved in the community. After all, medical school should be much more than studying.

Staying Balanced:
- People often say they can’t believe I had two kids while in medical school. However, my children help me stay balanced because at the end of a stressful day, I get to come home and play princesses with my 3 ½ year old daughter and snuggle my 5-month-old son. Juggling a family and medical school is not always easy but with the help of a supportive husband and two adorable children, I am able to give my best to medical school.
