What sparked your interest in dentistry?
I became interested in dentistry when I saw how much of an impact our family dentist, Dr. Tom Fagot, had in my mom’s oral health. He not only gave my mom the necessary oral care she needed to prevent her from having all her teeth extracted, but he also educated her on the importance of keeping up with her oral care. Throughout her experience, I not only enjoyed watching her toothaches diminish but seeing her regain the confidence to smile again. It was through my mom’s personal experience that I decided I also wanted to use the knowledge and skills one is educated with in this profession to help make a difference in someone else’s lifestyle — because who knows, along the way you may not just impact one person, but an entire family, which is what Dr. Tom Fagot did for us.
