Men’s Health Day set for Oct. 26

Free health screenings and information will be provided for the entire family at the 12th Annual Men’s Health Day, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sat., Oct. 26, at the Urban League Family Resource Center, 30th and Lake streets.

The event is co-sponsored by the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Center for Reducing Health Disparities in the College of Public Health, Methodist Health System, Douglas County Health Department, Charles Drew Health Center, Omega Psi Phi and Zeta Phi Beta.

Men’s Health Day includes:

•              Blood pressure check;

•              Blood sugar check;

•              Flu shots for everyone over age 5;

•              HIV and STD screening;

•              Colon cancer screening;

•              Prostate exam; and

•              Kidney function screening.
