- No. of years at UNMC: Seven months
Tell us a bit about what you do here at UNMC.
As a special events associate, I get to help plan and coordinate all the fun events around campus for the Chancellor’s Office, from groundbreakings and grand openings to Spirit Week. I also coordinate events and programs with all of our community partnerships, such as the Joslyn Art Museum, Durham Museum, Omaha Community Playhouse and many more.
“Leadership” is one of UNMC’s brand values. Tell us of a time you witnessed an example of leadership at UNMC.
I started out at UNMC as an intern. Everyone I have worked with always has taken the time and made the extra step to make sure I have transitioned into my role comfortably. The pleasant demeanor and welcoming atmosphere that I am lucky to be a part of is all because of everyone being a leader in their own way.
What is your favorite summer activity?
My favorite activity is definitely traveling. Other than that I love being able to dine outside.
List three things people may not know about you.
- I am a four-time tennis state champion. (I played for Creighton as well.)
- I love to plan vacations even if I’m not the one traveling on the trip.
- I go to market for my family’s business and help buy for their stores, Periwinkles and Pinkywinkles
Welcome, Anna! We're glad to have you here — full-time!
