Nominations open for university-wide teaching awards

UNMC's Susan Swindells, M.B.B.S., was the 2013 winner of the Innovation, Development and Engagement Award. Nominees are being sought for the next round of university-wide teaching awards.

Nominations are now open for the four university-wide teaching awards.

“These awards offer the opportunity to promote university-wide recognition of the fine teachers and researchers here at UNMC,” said Dele Davies, M.D., vice chancellor for academic affairs.

To stimulate more nominations, the submission process has been shortened for the Outstanding Research and Creative Activity Award (ORCA), the Innovation, Development and Engagement Award (IDEA), the Outstanding Teaching and Instructional Creativity Award (OTICA) and the University-wide Departmental Teaching Award (UDTA).

Submit nominations for all awards using the attached form to either the vice chancellor for academic affairs or the vice chancellor for research by Friday, Sept. 20, as described below.
A review committee will alert the final campus nominees to complete and submit the entire packet for each award.
