The School of Allied Health Professions will name an interim director of physical therapy education, then launch a national search for a permanent replacement, senior associate dean Kyle Meyer, Ph.D., said.
This follows the resignation of Jack Turman Jr., Ph.D., director of physical therapy education, who has accepted the position of dean of the College of Nursing, Health, and Human Services at Indiana State University, effective Sept. 1.
“I am so grateful for my time at UNMC, I have learned much and worked with many wonderful people in the university and the Omaha community,” Dr. Turman said.
His last day will be Aug. 9.
“We wish Dr. Turman well in his new role,” Dr. Meyer said. “We will miss him and his contributions to the PT department and the school.”
Dr. Meyer said he will be naming an interim program director in early August..
