We’re heading into the home stretch.
The greatest time of need at the Food Bank of the Heartland is the spring, and the UNMC community has one more day to make a difference as part of the annual campus food drive.
The drive began April 22 and will end tomorrow.
Blue barrels have been placed throughout campus for the drive. According to the Food Bank, food items always in demand include:
- Macaroni and cheese;
- Peanut butter;
- Canned meats;
- Canned fruit; and
- Green beans.
Blue food barrels can be found in the following campus buildings:
- Maurer Center for Public Health;
- 4230 Building;
- Munroe-Meyer Institute;
- Durham Research Center Atrium;
- Center for Healthy Living – second floor; and
- Sorrell Center.
