Drug “Take Back” day set for April 27

When spring cleaning fervor takes you to your medicine cabinet, don’t simply toss expired pharmaceuticals. The Drug Enforcement Administration is providing an opportunity to dispose of any unwanted pharmaceuticals safely and easily by hosting “Drug Take Back Day” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 27 at the following locations:

• Walgreens locations at 3005 Lake St. and 15525 Spaulding Plaza in Omaha and 8380 Harrison St. in LaVista;
• The Westroads Mall Safety Expo at Westroads Mall, 10000 California St.; and
• Hy-Vee locations at 1000 S. 178th St. in Omaha and 11650 S. 73rd St. in Papillion.
