The Omaha Community Playhouse is offering sponsor tickets at a reduced price to the UNMC employees, faculty and students for its preview showing of “A Night with the Family.”
The play, a comedy written by Matthew Ivan Bennett, is having its world premiere at the playhouse. UNMC is the sponsor.
The action follows a quirky family – a hippie father addicted to fake swear words, an overbearing mother with a French-Canadian ballet-dancing fiance, a coddled son prone to panic attacks and a level-headed daughter trying to make sense of it all.
The preview will be performed at 7:30 p.m. on April 18 on the Hawks Mainstage Theatre at the Omaha Community Playhouse. (Doors open at 7 p.m.) Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at the Center for Healthy Living. You must show your UNMC ID when purchasing tickets (the discount is available only to UNMC employees, faculty and students). The Center for Healthy Living only accepts cash or checks. Tickets must be purchased by April 11.
Check out UNMC’s Facebook page and UNMC Today in the upcoming weeks for your chance to win free tickets to the show.
