Public invited to free Feb. 23 debut of OPEN DOOR

The public is invited to a free presentation of “OPEN DOOR,” on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 8 p.m., at the Circle Theatre, 726 S. 55th Street (lower level of the Central Presbyterian Church).

The one-hour presentation will feature the work of local artist and thespian, Bob Donlan, who will offer audience members an intimate view into the complexities individuals face in mental health and substance use disorders. Donlan’s words and artwork provide a powerful testimony of his journey of recovery.

In addition, local artists will provide artwork for sale from 6 to 8 p.m.

The event is sponsored by the Behavioral Health Education Center of Nebraska (BHECN). BHECN was established in 2009 by LB 603 to support the recruitment, retention and increased education and training of the behavioral health workforce in Nebraska as well as provide statewide access to behavioral health providers.

Through world-class research and patient care, UNMC generates breakthroughs that make life better for people throughout Nebraska and beyond. Its education programs train more health professionals than any other institution in the state. Learn more at unmc.edu.
