UNMC public ice skating rink extends hours over the holidays

Hours for the University of Nebraska Medical Center public ice skating rink will be extended over the holidays.

 

The rink is located just east of 42nd Street midway between Emile Street and Dewey Avenue on the north side of the Michael F. Sorrell Center for Health Science Education building. The rink features concessions, music and seasonal decorations.

 

Holiday hours:
Dec. 24, 25 — closed
Dec. 26 — 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Dec. 29 – 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Dec. 30 – Noon to 8 p.m.
Dec. 31 — closed 

Jan. 1 — closed
Jan. 2-4 — 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Jan. 5 —  10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Jan. 6 – Noon to 8 p.m.
 

Regular admission, which includes skate rental, is $7 for individuals or $5 without skate rental. Cash or credit card only (no checks or debit cards). The regular schedule will resume Jan. 7.

 

Free parking is available in lots along 40th St. between Dewey Ave. and Emile St. and in the lot along 41st St. between Emile and Leavenworth streets. Parking maps and more information are available at www.unmc.edu/skate.
