Carrie Wieners, Curator at the Durham Museum will present “The History of Union Station” today at noon in the Sorrell Center, Room 2018.
Bring lunch and enjoy this special presentation on the building that Omahan residents know as Union Station.
The building is not actually the first of its kind, nor the first, second, even third railroad station in the city. To understand this complex history, the role of the railroad, and why Union Station is such an iconic building in our city, you have to go back before there was a railroad, even before there was a city.
