Who: Susie Thorne — a Hastings native — is the daughter of a classically trained vocalist and a professional trumpet player who performed with jazz greats Lionel Hampton and Gerry Mulligan. Why: Thorne’s performance is part of the Music as Medicine Concert Series. Music as Medicine concerts are free and are held on the second or third Thursday of each month. See this year’s full Music as Medicine schedule.

Patients and families, staff, students and the community are invited to bring lunch and enjoy a fabulous concert, which is sponsored by UNMC’s Office of the Chancellor.
