The University of Nebraska Medical Center and the University of Nebraska at Omaha will host a presentation, “Being Mindful: A thought provoking journey about loss and end of life,” on Nov. 7, from 1 – 5 p.m.
The talk will be held in the UNMC Durham Research Center Auditorium located on the west end of the UNMC campus on the northwest corner of Emile St. and Durham Research Plaza. Visitor parking is available in the Patient/Visitor parking structure on the northeast corner of Emile St. and Durham Research Plaza.
Marlene Schneider, a counselor in UNMC’s Faculty and Employee Assistance Program, will highlight the value of facing grief and loss with courage and strength. Julie Masters, Ph.D., chair of the UNO Department of Gerontology, will focus on coming to terms with our own mortality.
