Question: In Lotus Notes, I used to create calendar entries from an email message. Is there a way to do that with Outlook?
Answer:Yes, you’ll love this shortcut! If you are using Outlook 2007 or 2010 with the normal view showing your “To Do” pane, you can move the calendar to the correct month and drag the meeting to the correct day of the calendar. The calendar entry will open with the correct date selected. You will need to select the correct time and location, however. But the contents of the message will appear in the entry description.
You also can just drag a message to the calendar icon at the bottom of the navigation pane, but you will then need to select the correct date/time/location. But the contents will also be contained in the description.
