Two UNMC projects will be featured as part of “Robots! The Interactive Exhibit,” a national traveling exhibit produced by Global Exhibition Services and 20th Century Fox that is on display at the Strategic Air and Space Museum now through Jan. 6.
An interactive display of surgical robots, developed by UNMC’s Dmitry Oleynikov, M.D., and Shane Farritor, Ph.D., of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, is among the demonstrations in the exhibit.
A UNMC project that involves robotic exoskeletons developed to aid in the rehabilitation of stroke victims also will be featured in the exhibit.
The exhibit features characters from the popular animated film, “Robots,” as a guide to teach visitors about the past and future of robotics.
